Every Year trekkers set to K2 Base Camp to get experience of the throne room of mountain gods. A little more about Our K2 Base Camp Trek, Your day normally starts at 6am or 7am, the routine during the trek is early to bed and up early each day. Early wake up with a mug of steaming tea or coffee while still in the bed, before the sun rise. You will pack all your equipment and after hearty breakfast you will be on the trail. The local staff either provide you packed lunch or will give hot lunch on the route to the next camp. It will be cold in the morning but quite warm during the day if the weather is pleasant, some days are even hotter you need to wear t-shirts and shorts. This is one of the most adventurous and spectacularly scenic treks in Karakoram, offering breathtaking views of the highest mountains and longest glaciers outside the polar region. This alternate approach to the Concordia Glacier and K2 Basecamp crosses the fantastic Gondogoro La Pass (5650 m) and gives some of the most remarkable mountain views in the world. Peaks visible on the circuitinclude K2, Broad Peak, Gasherbrums I through IV on the Concordia side, and Masherbrum (7821 m), K6 (7282 m), K7, and the beautiful Laila Peak in the Hushe Valley on the other side of the pass. The circuit can be completed in either direction beginning either in Hushe, or Askole. Climbing the Gondogoro La requires good physical fitness, and involves use of rope and ice axe. We begin from Islamabad the modern capital of Pakistan, and visit the colorful bazaars in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. We either fly from Islamabad to Skardu and back, or drive the Karakoram Highway through three great Mountain Ranges; The Himalayas, Karakoram and Hindu Kush, under the shadow of the great walls of Nanga Parbat (8125 meters).
